Ten Years from Now
An electromechanical engineering student talks about his plans in about a minute.

This time ten years from now, I’ll be working as a maintenance engineer at a solar power plant. I’ll be leading a small team, and I won’t be sitting in an office all day.

It wasn’t always my plan. I was going to study music, but in my last year of school I took a course on electric motors, and I changed my mind. Now I’m studying electromechanical engineering, and I’m glad I did.

Next year, I’ll be doing an internship, and two years after that, I’ll be writing my thesis. Of course, plans change. I thought I would finish in four years, but I may need five. So I’ll rewrite my plan every year, and I’ll try not to underestimate the work.

I want to be confident, but not overconfident. So, this time ten years from now, I’ll be working at a solar plant, and I hope I’ll be smiling about it.
